What makes your program unique
At least 20% of the Altadena population are senior citizens. A large majority of these residents are choosing to age in place. Many of them do not qualify to receive frozen meals through the LA County program. Alternatively, if they do qualify, will be placed on a very long waiting list. AMOW provides the invaluable service of implementing an immediate meal delivery service. Long or short term
Hot meals are provided weekly from Monday to Friday to all residents who request the service. Meals on Wheels is available to any resident who is unable to prepare or shop for a nutritious meal, regardless of reason. Our purpose is to supply nourishing meals at a minimum cost to people unable to cook, drive, shop, or leave their home for an extended period.
